Job summary

Stark is seeking a Meter Data Technician to visit commercial sites around Stockport, performing electric meter readings and annual safety checks. You will work independently, charting readings in a spreadsheet and ensuring secure vehicle handling, with full training provided.

The role involves travel, manual handling, and compliance with safety guidelines, with a company vehicle for business use and regular site inductions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel to customer sites and perform meter readings.
• Strong problem solving abilities and independence.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and compliance with procedures.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive long distances.

Responsibilities

• Undertake weekly vehicle checks and report issues.
• Drive to site safely and locate the correct meter.
• Record meter readings and safety checks accurately.
• Return daily completed meters spreadsheet to line manager.
• Notify reception of departure and follow on-site procedures.
