Job summary

Celnor Group is seeking a Materials/Field Technician to join MSS in Derby. This hands-on role involves on-site sampling and testing across construction sites. Ideal candidates will have experience in site work or materials testing, strong digital skills, and a full UK driving license. The role offers a salary of £29,000 - £32,000 annually, a signing-on bonus, and career progression opportunities. Candidates should be flexible with working hours and willing to travel across the Midlands.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction site work, materials testing, or a related technical environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work independently.
• Proficient in using digital tools and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• Possess a CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
• Flexibility with working hours and willingness to travel.
• UKAS/MCIT/Soils and Aggregates experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site sampling and testing of materials at construction sites.
• Perform laboratory testing on soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt.
• Accurately record and upload test results using company systems.
• Liaise with site teams to maintain quality and compliance.
• Work shift patterns with paid overtime.
• Travel across the Midlands in a company van after onboarding.
• Adhere to safety standards and pass a Safety Critical Medical.
