Job summary

MSS, part of the Celnor Group, is seeking a Materials/Field Technician to join our Swindon team. The role combines on-site sampling and testing with laboratory work, supporting construction and infrastructure projects across the region.

You will test soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt, record data, and ensure equipment is calibrated. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential; permanent, full-time contract on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, materials testing or a related technical environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Flexibility to travel and work varying hours.

Responsibilities

• Attend sites to carry out sampling and testing.
• Test soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt materials.
• Record and upload test data using company systems.
• Maintain testing equipment, ensure calibration and serviceability.
• Liaise with clients, site teams and colleagues on quality and compliance.
• Support both site-based and laboratory testing activities.
• Ensure work adheres to company procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Travel across the region to support projects.
