NHS Property Services is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support healthcare sites across Sheppey and Sittingbourne. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance to keep buildings safe and welcoming for patients and staff, with a company van and tools provided.

The role requires practical maintenance skills, a strong health and safety mindset, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Formación

• Experience in maintenance, caretaking, facilities or building services.
• Strong health and safety awareness and practical repair skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair tasks across multiple healthcare sites.
• Undertaking basic carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general building maintenance.
• Supporting the upkeep and presentation of NHS facilities to ensure a safe environment for all building users.
• Conducting routine inspections and reporting defects or maintenance issues.
• Assisting specialist contractors and supporting larger maintenance projects when required.
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety procedures and company standards.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe, organised manner.
• Travelling between sites within Sheppey and Sittingbourne area as required.
