Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Leakage Technician to support Wessex Water by locating, diagnosing and reducing leakage across DMA networks. The role is field-based, outdoors, and you will work with team leaders, contractors and clients to deliver reliable field data and safe operations.

You will develop technical capability over time, supporting others and contributing to KPI delivery while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• National Water Hygiene certification required.
• Unit 2 NRSWA training completed.
• Good maths and English skills are required.
• Basic IT literacy is required.
• Good hearing is important for field work.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Desirable: leakage detection or water network experience and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Apply practical methods to locate proactive and reactive leaks accurately and efficiently.
• Work safely on highways, in confined spaces and in variable weather, with full H&S compliance.
• Meet performance targets and complete admin tasks accurately.
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues, contractors and the client; work independently when required.
• Support changing schedules and travel requirements; mentor junior technicians.
