Job summary

Starkey Recruitment Group is recruiting a Leak Detection Technician to join a well-established organisation in the water and utilities sector. The role is field-based, covering London and surrounding areas, with travel to customer sites daily and occasional UK-wide travel.

You will perform leak detection, water auditing and meter-reading across a portfolio of sites, using CAT & Genny, listening sticks, correlators and ground microphones. Training may be provided for water auditing.

Qualifications

• Experience in leak detection or water utilities is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and data recording accuracy.
• Good written reporting skills and customer-facing communication.
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
• Training may be provided for water auditing and systems.

Responsibilities

• Locate water leaks using specialised equipment.
• Conduct water audits and take accurate meter readings.
• Record findings and create detailed reports for customers.
• Travel to customer sites across London and surrounding areas.
• Maintain safety and uphold company KPIs.
• Use mobile apps and company software to update records.
