Job summary

Leakage Technician position with Finlay Jude Associates Ltd in the North Region focusing on identifying, locating and reporting leaks on clean water networks using advanced leakage detection techniques and field equipment.

Working independently in the field, you will help reduce water loss, improve network performance and deliver excellent service standards. Desirable: EUSR Water Hygiene Card, NRSWA, GIS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Knowledge of clean water distribution networks
• Experience using leakage detection equipment

Responsibilities

• Carry out proactive leakage detection activities on live water networks
• Use acoustic leakage detection equipment and specialist technology to identify hidden leaks
• Undertake sounding, correlating, step testing and leak verification
• Accurately record survey findings using handheld devices and reporting systems
• Liaise with repair teams to ensure leaks are repaired efficiently
• Support network investigations and performance improvement activities
• Maintain company equipment and vehicles to a high standard
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
