Job summary

MCS Group is partnered with a leading international logistics business to recruit an IT Engineer for the Warrenpoint operation. This role is not your typical IT support position; you’ll be out from behind a desk, solving technical problems across infrastructure, networking, CCTV, and access control systems, supporting both the Warrenpoint terminal and company vessels.

You’ll provide hands-on IT support on site and remotely for UK and Irish operations, install and maintain network infrastructure,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an IT Support Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar hands-on technical role.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure and wireless technologies.
• Experience working with CCTV and/or access control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Providing onsite and remote IT support across UK and Irish operations.
• Installing and maintaining wireless and network infrastructure.
• Supporting PCs, laptops and associated hardware.
• Troubleshooting software and bespoke business systems.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining CCTV and access control systems.
• Supporting IT systems onboard company vessels and participating in IT projects.
• Providing out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rota.
• Following health and safety procedures in industrial environments.
