Job summary

Network Squad Ltd is seeking an ELV/Field Installation Engineer to lead small installation teams and deliver complete structured cabling and device installations across sites in the Greater London area.

You will install and configure network devices including switches, APs, CCTV and NVRs, perform cable tests, and coordinate with project managers to meet milestones. A van and tools are required; ELV certification is highly preferred.

Qualifications

Own van and tools required.
Experience with structured cabling, patch panels, labeling and rack organization.
Experience installing CCTV, APs, switches, and NVRs in commercial environments.
Experience pulling/terminating fiber optic and copper cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a).
Mentor FE-L1 and FE-L2 engineers; focus on safety practices.

Responsibilities

Lead installation teams and ensure tasks meet timelines and standards.
Execute complete structured cabling setups including patch panel termination, labeling and rack organization.
Install and configure network devices per design (switches, APs, CCTV, NVRs).
Perform full cable certification tests and resolve connectivity issues.
Coordinate with project managers/clients on installation details and completion milestones.
Conduct quality checks on terminations, labeling and mounting work; ensure neatness and compliance.
Record completed work in Asset Management System with device IDs and test results.
Enforce safe working practices and site regulations.
