Job summary

Herbert Parkinson, part of the John Lewis Partnership, is seeking a Project Installation Manager to plan and oversee on-site delivery of complex installations. You will bridge communication between customers and internal operations to protect margins and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Based at our Darwen office with travel to customer sites, the role offers permanent employment, 38.75 hours per week, and a night premium for hours between 22:00 and 06:00.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex field installations.
• Strong organisational skills with a track record of managing multiple site installations.
• Experience managing specialised sub-contractors on active work sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-installation site surveys & assessments to assess structural readiness, utility access, space layout, and potential site hazards
• Prepare & enforce RAMS & Method Statements ensuring compliance with Health, Safety & local regulations
• Take ownership of planning, recruiting and onboarding field team resources
• Supervise on-site installation teams and subcontractors to ensure high workmanship and productivity
• Serve as primary on-site contact for issue resolution, coordinating with internal teams and customers
• Monitor daily progress and report risks, milestones and performance to stakeholders
• Support commercial activities via trade shows and lead generation efforts
• Assist Sales & Customer Operations from enquiry to PO, including tenders and client presentations
