We are looking for a Field Implementation Consultant to join our team in Glasgow. You will be responsible for providing on-site service and technical assistance for our Point of Sale products for our Hospitality industry including restaurants, hotels and bars. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth go-live process, set our strategic customers up for success, representing Lightspeed in the UK, leveraging the social nature of the industry to help promote our product and grow our customer base by delivering exceptional service to each and every customer you interact with. You will also have the opportunity to take ownership of interesting projects focused on innovating and improving our processes to ensure a best in class experience and success for our customers. What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Travel to customers’ locations to facilitate their implementation of the hardware and provide technical support.
  • Plan and organize onsite training sessions with business owners, management team, and/or staff on the front end of the POS system.
  • Guide customers onsite through their setup, implementations and integrations.
  • Install/troubleshoot networking devices including routers and wireless access points.
  • Document and track customer installation, network details, schematics and other on-site services.
  • Report the progress of the installations to your Team Lead and Installation Coordinator
  • Ensure all hardware is present before going onsite to the customer.
  • Manage your schedule, collaborate with the Installation Coordinator to plan your onsite visits as efficiently as possible.
  • Communicate with our development team regarding current and ongoing customer and product issues.
  • Represent Lightspeed as company ambassador for all new and existing customers.
  • Use consistent troubleshooting techniques to quickly and efficiently identify the source of customer issues and provide a prompt and appropriate solution.
  • Work closely with other contributors on the Launch and Professional Services team including Managers and Team Leads, to best handle day-to-day situations to improve the overall customer experience.

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry (restaurants, hotels, etc,) and interacting with customers to deliver value and surpass their needs.
  • Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve customers technical issues.
  • Ability to handle multiple implementation projects at various phases in their customer journey.
  • The ability to work collaboratively alongside the Field Sales team both pre and post sales to ensure the smooth onboarding of new customers.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and self-educated.

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Passion for technology
  • Technical or Hardware installation/support
  • Networking fundamental knowledge
  • Technical background and experience in POS, SaaS, networking and/or software.
