Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking an Assistant HSE Business Partner to provide frontline health, safety and environmental guidance across the Merchanting network. You will triage incidents, embed safe working practices and lead branch training while supporting senior HSE leadership.

The role covers Scotland and Northern regions, requiring travel around 3 days per week. A TechIOSH path and a NEBOSH Level 3 qualification are preferred, with up to 12 months post‑qualification experience and a full UK

Qualifications

Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent).
TechIOSH status (or working towards it).
Up to 12 months post‑qualification experience in a similar risk environment as an HSE Advisor/Coordinator.
Practical experience supporting incident investigations, risk assessments and assurance programmes.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

Incident Support & Triage: triaging reported incidents and supporting investigations.
Safety Assurance: conduction of behavioural safety reviews and CCTV reviews for compliance.
Branch Training Delivery: deliver practical HSE training for branch teams.
Risk Assessment Governance: review and sign off regional risk assessments.
Front‑Line Branch Support: support visits and onboarding of Branch Managers.
HSE Projects & Continuous Improvement: partner with the wider HSE team on safety initiatives.
