Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead our SHEQ program across field operations in the Manchester area. The role requires active promotion of a Zero Harm culture and accountability for audits, reporting, and continuous improvement.

You will ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements, deliver toolbox talks, and guide site teams. A full UK driving licence is essential to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate required.
• Experience in social housing, maintenance, or minor works.
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and best practices.
• Experience with audits, reporting and compliance systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture with a zero-harm mindset.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Carry out site audits, inspections, and safety tours.
• Complete SHEQ reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) including incidents and KPIs.
• Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ systems and documentation.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts and briefings to site teams.
• Monitor and analyse SHEQ data to identify trends and improvements.
• Maintain ECO-online and document control platforms.
