Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking a proactive SHEQ Advisor to promote a zero-harm culture across field operations in the UK. You will drive compliance, carry out site audits, and support ISO audits while maintaining SHEQ documentation.

The role requires NEBOSH (General or Construction), a full UK driving licence, and strong communication skills. You will work with site teams to deliver toolbox talks and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate required.
• Experience in social housing, maintenance, or minor works projects.
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and best practices.
• Experience with audits, reporting, and compliance systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence and DBS check.
• CSCS card desirable; TechIOSH membership desirable.
• Asbestos Awareness training.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture aligned with a Zero Harm approach.
• Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Carry out regular site audits, inspections and safety tours.
• Complete SHEQ reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) including incidents and KPIs.
• Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ systems and documentation.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts and briefings to site teams.
• Monitor and analyse SHEQ data to identify trends and improvements.
• Maintain ECO-online and document control platforms.
• Encourage reporting of hazards, near misses and incidents.
• Support and guide site teams and SHEQ coordinators.
• Attend SHEQ meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
