Job summary

DPD is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to drive high standards across the network. You will visit sites, assess compliance, and provide actionable recommendations while supporting investigations and maintaining accurate reporting.

Ideal candidates will have health and safety experience, understand the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and be prepared to study NEBOSH within three years. A driving licence and flexible travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a health and safety or compliance role.
• Understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation.
• Excellent communication skills across formats.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage time.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong IT skills with MS Office or Google Suite.
• NEBOSH diploma within 3 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various sites for onsite visits during key operational times, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
• Provide clear recommendations to sites for improving health and safety compliance.
• Support sites in health and safety investigations.
• Record findings on health and safety reporting systems.
• Collaborate with the wider health and safety team on compliance and improvement projects.
