Job summary

Siemens Energy is hiring an Electrical Diagnostics Engineer to perform high- and low- voltage testing and diagnostic work on generators at customer sites across the UK and overseas. The role involves travel to outages and response to breakdowns, delivering expert assessment of condition, performance and risks.

You will work with customers, site teams, Siemens Energy engineers and subcontractors to plan and execute testing safely and effectively.

Qualifications

Experience with electrical diagnostic testing on generators.
Ability to interpret test data and produce technical reports.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical diagnostic testing, including HV and LV, on Siemens Energy generators at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
Support planned outages and breakdown investigations with fact-finding to identify issues and mitigations.
Develop and apply testing protocols aligned with industry standards and customer specs.
Analyse test results and produce clear reports and recommendations.
Discuss findings with engineering teams, customers and stakeholders, providing technical advice on generation equipment.
Manage work packages and priorities following quality, safety, and environmental processes.
