Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Generator Engineer to join the Newcastle upon Tyne team. You will support performance and reliability of generators and auxiliary systems, travel to sites for fault-finding, maintenance and outages, and work with global engineering networks to deliver solutions.

The role requires an electrical engineering degree and experience in power generation, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. On-site role based in the UK.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with electrical bias required.
• Power generation experience preferred for this senior role.
• Proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support for Siemens generators and auxiliary systems.
• Develop and author technical reports, work scopes, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and global engineering network to share knowledge.
• Prepare for outages with customer presentations and onsite support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues during outages.
