Job summary

Firetecnics in London is seeking an experienced Fire Extinguisher Engineer to service, maintain, commission and install portable extinguishers to BS 5306 standards at customer sites.

You will work field-based across London and surrounding areas, performing annual servicing, fault finding and reporting. A valid UK driving licence and relevant qualification are preferred; the role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing portable fire extinguishers.
• Recognised extinguisher competency qualification (BAFE BS 5306 or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of BS 5306-3/8 and extinguisher types.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, overhaul and discharge testing of extinguishers per BS 5306-3.
• Commission and install new extinguishers with correct siting and mounting.
• Complete service certificates and asset records; support audits.
• Maintain van stock, tools and safety compliance on site.
• Provide professional customer service and on-site guidance.
