UBT is seeking a hands-on Fire Alarm Engineer to join our field-based team covering Dartford, Kent and Maidstone. You’ll service and install fire extinguishers and alarm systems, with training provided and a clear progression path within a growing UK company.
Expect a practical role with door-to-door travel, paid overtime, and a supportive team led by experienced managers. A UK driving licence and a can-do attitude are essential to start your career here.
Qualifications
- Experience in fire extinguisher or alarm servicing.
- Full UK driving licence.
- BAFE certification preferred; training provided if needed.
- Good communication and time management; customer-first approach.
- Willingness to travel daily and occasionally stay away.
- Fire alarm experience, IPAF/PASMA, CSCS/ECS desirable.
Responsibilities
- Service, install, and troubleshoot portable fire extinguishers at customer construction sites.
- Learn and develop skills in fire alarm systems - SiteProtect and SiteNet.
- Conduct fire safety surveys and fault-finding.
- Travel from site to site - door-to-door travel paid.
- Complete accurate paperwork via digital systems.
- Work independently and as part of a wider field-based team.
- Join a rotating on-call roster (1 week every 6 months) after training.
