Job summary

King & Moffatt Building Services is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to manage planned preventive maintenance and inspections for electrical and mechanical plant in data centre environments. You will coordinate with the site engineering team, generate weekly activity reports, and ensure compliance with QHSE policies.

The role requires strong fault diagnosis, experience with UPS, boilers, and HVAC systems, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in data centre or clean room production unit.
• Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications.
• Recognized 3rd NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Plumbing / HVAC or equivalent.
• Excellent fault diagnosis skills.
• Experience with BMS Controls and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.

Responsibilities

• Complete a range of Planned Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Inspections per SFG20.
• Maintain effective communication with the client’s site engineering team.
• Produce weekly activity reports for the FM supervisor.
• Maintain electrical and mechanical plant services to industry standards.
• Oversee contractor activities with risk assessments & QHSE permitting.
• Schedule subcontractor visits and ensure client security adherence.
