Job summary
Brandon Hire Station is seeking a Driver / Service & Branch Assistant to join our team. You will be on the road delivering, collecting and maintaining equipment, while also supporting branch operations and customer service.
The role requires a full UK driving licence, a willingness to learn about machinery, and flexibility to support seasonal events. Forklift experience is desirable and safety is a core focus.
Qualifications
- Multidrop driving experience and good knowledge of the local area.
- Excellent customer service with confident, professional communication.
- Interest in machinery and willingness to develop technical knowledge.
- Comfortable with cleaning, servicing and maintenance as part of a varied role.
- Experience of towing trailers or willingness to train for it.
- Flexible approach to seasonal events and changing hours.
- Full UK driving licence essential; forklift licence desirable.
- Basic health and safety knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all deliveries and collections as allocated by your line manager.
- Demonstrate equipment to customers with clarity when required.
- Provide professional customer service on site and while driving company vehicles.
- Ensure equipment is stored safely in branch and during transport.
- Support servicing and operation of seasonal events, ensuring timely delivery, maintenance and collection.
- Maintain portable toilets and other seasonal hire equipment to be safe and compliant.
- Undertake vehicle towing duties and operate forklift trucks when trained.
- Assist branch team with equipment preparation, housekeeping and operational tasks.
- Assist in other ad hoc duties within the branch.
