Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering/related qualifications or equivalent vocational training.
• Broad knowledge of engineering construction, materials, trades and standards.
• Excellent organisation, delegation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check works are built per contract and notify Construction Superintendent of non-conformance.
• Submit details of non-conformance to assist in NCR issuing.
• Communicate with site teams and maintain timely surveillance reporting.
• Contribute surveillance data to KPI indicators.
• Identify potential quality issues and mitigate actions.
• Support temporary measures to keep works safe and within quality standards.
• Ensure design decisions are approved via formal process.
• Develop knowledge of drawings, QC plans and inspection records.
• Review contractor performance against the QC plan.
