Job Description:

Our client is a leading supplier of automated vehicle wash machinery. Due to their continued success, Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

The field service engineer will undertake machine installations, maintenance, and repair work throughout South East England.

The Role:

Reporting to the service manager, you will be responsible for mechanical and basic 3-phase electrical service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment. Your duties will include:

• Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
• Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repair work
• Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
• Ensure accurate visit reports, including details of work undertaken and completed, are recorded on the computer system

Candidate:

You should be a competent engineer with excellent 3-phase electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair skills. Recognized qualifications such as NVQ3 or 18th edition are preferred. Previous experience with vehicle wash or high-pressure washer equipment is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.

You must be computer literate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfort with working outdoors and occasional overnight stays away from home is required.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
