Job description

Our client is a leading supplier of automated vehicle wash machinery. Due to their continued success, Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

The field service engineer will undertake machine installations, maintenance, and repair work throughout South East England.

The Role

Reporting to the service manager, you will be responsible for mechanical and basic 3-phase electrical service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  1. Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
  2. Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repair work
  3. Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
  4. Ensure accurate visit reports, including details of work undertaken/completed, are recorded on the computer system
Candidate

You will be a competent engineer with excellent 3-phase electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.

Ideally, you will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering, e.g., NVQ3 or 18th edition. Previous work experience with vehicle wash and/or high-pressure washer equipment would be beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.

You will be computer literate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You must be comfortable working outdoors and occasionally staying overnight away from home.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.
