Job summary

HSB, part of the Munich Re Group, is seeking an Engineer Surveyor (Cat 3) in Dorset. You will carry out statutory and contractual inspections across a range of mechanical equipment, with 40-hour weeks including travel time.

This role offers meaningful impact, strong client relationships, and ongoing training. You will help clients stay compliant, safe, and operational within a supportive, expert-led environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in general engineering environments.
• Minimum Level NVQ 3, or equivalent award, in an engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of statutory regulations such as LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, and British Standards.
• UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory and contractual inspections across mechanical equipment.
• Inspect at venues from football grounds to zoos to ensure safety and compliance.
• Help clients stay compliant, safe, and operational within a supportive environment.
