Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Field Engineer I in the UK to support the Completions and Well Intervention Team. You will assist in planning, deployment and operation of completion and well-intervention equipment, ensuring HSE compliance and high-quality reporting in a dynamic field setting.

The successful candidate will hold a engineering degree or equivalent field experience, be willing to travel offshore, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills to collaborate

As a Field Engineer I, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the planning, preparation and execution of Completions and Well Intervention operations.
• Supporting the deployment, maintenance and operation of well intervention and completion equipment.
• Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE standards and customer requirements.
• Monitoring operational performance and providing accurate reporting and documentation.
• Troubleshooting technical issues in the field and supporting effective problem resolution.
• Collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver successful operational outcomes.
• Maintaining equipment readiness, reliability and compliance with company procedures.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Have experience working within field operations, oilfield services, completions, well intervention or a related environment.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence.
• Have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Be able to work effectively in a customer‑facing environment.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be willing to travel and work offshore as required.
• Hold a valid driving licence and the right to work in the United Kingdom.
