Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in delivering our tech-enabled future.

We provide full network cycle services for fixed, private, and mobile operators.

This role will be within our private networks. We find the best technology, manage assets, and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we ensure everything runs smoothly, including comprehensive repair and maintenance activities.

This is a field-based role primarily in the South of England.

What will you be doing?

• Assisting in project delivery of network installations, working closely with Program Managers & Design Engineers from inception to project handover.
• Driving to complete small and large-scale projects for SSEN, including installations, upgrades, commissioning, and decommissioning within customer premises across various locations.
• Completing network reports and analysis as required, ensuring timely feedback to Project Engineers and meeting customer expectations and SLAs.
• Ensuring quality physical installations for the sustainability and supportability of Distribution & Transmission networks, including site inspections to verify standards.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience with full cabinet installations, including telecoms and DC cabinets on various floor types.
• Understanding of DC systems (TEL003) and ability to work with DC PDU’s, including installation testing and certification.
• Ability to interpret site designs, floor plans, and rack layouts.
• Experience with partial installations, such as router add-ins, card installs, and network testing (C37:94).
• Proficiency in cable installation and termination, including SWA.
• Knowledge of DC power installation and AC systems.
• Experience with installation and commissioning of DNWP Connection Master SDH systems.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco equipment and switches, including ASR 920/4010/2520 & ADVA FSP150.
