Job summary
MEP Hire is seeking a Driver/Branch Assistant to support our field operations in Manchester. You will predominantly drive a 7.5t vehicle to deliver and collect equipment from customers, then return to base to join the branch team.
You will demonstrate how to operate equipment and perform daily vehicle checks, ensuring safety and compliance. A strong customer service approach and basic safety knowledge are essential.
Qualifications
- Multi-drop driving experience required.
- Experience driving a 7.5T vehicle and knowledge of the area.
- You enjoy meeting people and delivering great customer service.
- Interest in machinery with willingness to learn and expand expertise.
- Ability to demonstrate equipment after learning.
- Basic health and safety knowledge in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Complete deliveries and collections as allocated by line manager.
- Demonstrate equipment with sound presentation.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (oil, water, lights, tyres).
- Identify new business opportunities when possible.
- Ensure all customer and business documents are completed in full.
- Promote health and safety and uphold ME P Hire’s standards.
