Job summary

Insite Energy is seeking a Heat Network Compliance Consultant to support metering, billing and regulatory compliance across communal and district networks. This field-based, client-facing role offers hybrid working and regular site visits, developing specialist expertise with LoRaWAN, M‑Bus and smart metering platforms.

You’ll engage with project teams, review HIU layouts, perform technical audits and provide clear reports to clients while helping shape compliance strategies in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical or building services.
• Ability to produce clear technical reports and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Technical audits of metering systems, accuracy classes and billing compliance.
• Scoping and design assessments of HIU layouts, riser structures and plant rooms.
• Project planning to support installation teams with technical briefs, diagrams and commissioning checks.
• Equipment specification selecting heat meters, gateways and controllers meeting standards.
• Quality assurance by validating live systems, monitoring meter health and remediation actions.
• Client engagement representing Insite during site visits, consultations and technical discussions.
