Sysmex UK Ltd is seeking a Field Deployment Engineer (Fixed Term Contract) to deliver dedicated technical deployment support across the installed analyser base in the UK. The role entails OS upgrades, imaging, hardware replacement, software installation and data migration, working with Field Service Engineers and customers to minimise disruption to laboratory operations.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in a 2nd Line IT Support or equivalent IT Professional role.
Extensive experience providing field-based IT support within customer environments.
Proven experience in operating system deployment, imaging, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Proven experience in PC hardware installation, replacement, commissioning, and support.
Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing and connectivity troubleshooting.
Experience performing data backup, migration, and restoration activities.
Demonstrated ability to support IT infrastructure and end-user technology.
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Flexible approach to work, with a willingness to travel as required.
Must hold a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

Provide dedicated technical deployment support to Field Service Department for technology refreshes and lifecycle activities.
Execute field-based tasks including OS upgrades, security patch remediation, system reimaging, IT hardware replacement, software installation and configuration, data migration, and system validation.
Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, Technical Support, Product Management and customers to ensure deployments are completed efficiently while minimising disruption.

Field Deployment Engineer (Fixed Term Contract)

Sysmex UK Ltd are the distributors and support network for Sysmex automated haematology and coagulation diagnostic analysers, reagents and information systems for laboratories and healthcare facilities within the UK and Ireland.

Your role in the healthcare journey

The Field Service Deployment Engineer will provide dedicated technical deployment support to the wider Field Service Department, delivering planned technology refreshes and infrastructure lifecycle activities across the installed analyser base.

The role will be responsible for executing field-based activities including Windows operating system upgrades, security patch remediation, system reimaging, IT hardware replacement, software installation and configuration, data migration, and system validation. Working closely with Field Service Engineers, Technical Support, Product Management, and customers, the successful candidate will ensure upgrades and deployments are completed efficiently while maintaining analyser performance and minimising disruption to laboratory operations.

The location for this role will be in the north of England, the ideal applicant will need to be located in Birmingham or above this location. The contract end date of this role will be the 31st March 2027.
