Job summary

Honeywell in the Midlands is seeking a Combustion Engineer to perform equipment start-ups, commissioning, and scheduled maintenance at customer sites. This field-based role involves travel across the region and the UK, with overnight stays as required.

You will diagnose and resolve technical issues through problem-solving, support cross-functional teams, and help ensure safety policies are followed while delivering reliable, efficient combustion solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in combustion engineering for process gas and oil burners.
• Mechanical systems knowledge with industrial installation experience (plumbing, pipework, hydraulics).
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Commercial gas certifications listed above.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site installation, commissioning, servicing and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Prepare site visit reports and maintain time sheets for clients.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in field services and product development.
• Support cross-functional groups to resolve administrative delivery/installation issues; act as escalation point.
• Ensure compliance with Company Health and Safety Policy to promote a safe working environment.
