Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide pacemaker & ICD follow-up to patients and physician customers.
- Support pacemaker & ICD implant procedures within the geographic area.
- Conduct in-service training for physicians, nursing, and technical hospital staff.
- Train peers in cardiac pacing and related products.
- Assist with clinical and scientific studies, including data collection and patient support.
- Ensure all paperwork related to implants, follow-ups, and data collection is accurate.
- Maintain current knowledge in cardiac pacing, defibrillators, and electrophysiology.
- Have comprehensive product and technical knowledge of all company bradycardia and tachycardia devices.
- Be competent in all aspects of ICD implant and follow-up; certification required within six months if not already certified.
- Maintain or obtain North American Society of Pacing & Electrophysiology (IBHRE) certification within two years.
- Understand competitive products and their features.
- Assist sales representatives within the sales territory.
- Provide 24/7 on-call coverage, including weekends, with rotation scheduling.
- Support implant and follow-up procedures when colleagues are unavailable or in training.
- Travel within the sales territory as needed; out-of-town travel up to 30% expected.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Physiology, Biology, Bioengineering, or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
- At least three years of experience in a cardiac Cath lab, EP lab, or pacing support.
- Experience with pacemaker implantation and follow-up.
- Professional appearance and communication skills.
Travel/Availability Requirements:
- Available for 24/7 on-call coverage, including holidays and weekends.
- Willing to work and travel during evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel outside the assigned territory as needed.
- Must be able to drive regularly within the territory; valid driver's license and insurance required.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently.
- Stand, sit, walk for extended periods.
- Perform environmental safety measures, including exposure to infectious diseases and radiation.
- Use hands for handling objects and controls.
- Operate mobile phones, computers, and other devices effectively.
- Perform bending, stooping, squatting, and maintaining balance.
