Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Field Calibration Technician (Electrical) in the Birmingham area. You will calibrate, test and service instrumentation used to measure pressure, temperature and flow, with a local Midlands patch and door-to-door pay.

Overtime up to 5-10 hours weekly boosts earnings, with 1.5x rate for overtime and 2x on Bank Holidays or Sundays. Role includes full training on PLCs and instrumentation, supplier and client interaction, and a company van.

Qualifications

• Calibration technician or engineer with electrical background.
• UK driving license required.
• Willing to cover Midlands patch and overtime.

Responsibilities

Are you a Calibration Technician, Engineer or similar from an Electrical background looking for a field based role that can offer a local patch, door-to-door pay and 5-10 hours of overtime per week to increase your earnings?

In this role you will be calibrating, testing and servicing instrumentation used to measure pressure, temperature and flow. Covering the Midlands, you’ll be paid from the moment you leave your house until you get home. Any hours over 40 hours per week are paid at 1.5x, and 2x on Bank Holidays or Sundays. This company will invest in your development through certificates and external training to enable you to become a technical expert.

This small but expanding company has operated for the last 30 years, building up it’s clientele steadily and expanding its highly specialised services into plc, instrument and sensor calibration.

This role would suit a Calibration Technician or Engineer looking for a field based role that can offer a local patch, door-to-door pay and stable overtime paid at 1.5x to increase your earnings.

The Role:

• Calibrating, servicing and programming instrumentation, sensors and PLC’s
• Full training on PLC’s and instrumentation
• Field based, covering West-Midlands and occasionally further afar
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• Company Van for personal use
• All expenses paid
• Monday – Thursday 8:30 – 5:30pm with a 4:30pm finish on Fridays

The Person:

• Calibration Technician, Enigneer or similar
• Electrical background
• UK Drivers License
