Job summary

SSE Smart Buildings is recruiting a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join our BMS Support team. This field-based role covers Yorkshire with a permanent, full-time contract and flexible options.

You will perform pre-planned maintenance, minor upgrades and energy reduction initiatives while supporting ongoing energy performance improvements. You will respond to breakdowns, work across site teams and external providers, and compile concise onsite reports.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens, Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC building controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Customer-focused with professional service standards.
• Flexible to on-call rota and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, including out of hours standby.
• Identify system improvements to energy performance and efficiency.
• Provide detailed reports based on onsite activities.
