BUUK Infrastructure is seeking a Water Field Technician to support the water asset team. The role covers Winchester, Southampton, Portsmouth, and surrounding areas with field-based duties and a standby rota.

You will ensure the network is constructed to high standards, perform water sampling, readings, and comply with regulatory standards while maintaining safety and customer service excellence. Applicants should have CSCS or equivalent and SHEA Water qualifications, a DBS check, and a driving

We are ideally looking for candidates based in the Winchester area. This is a field based role covering areas such as Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke and surrounding areas. Purpose of this role To provide field support to the water asset team, by ensuring our water network is constructed and installed to a high standard, that our customers have wholesome drinking water and that the network is robust for the future. Your
key responsibilities are Act as the escalation point to liaise with developers / customers and contractors. Engage with site stakeholders where possible during both planned and unplanned incidents. Ensure that the quality and integrity of the network is maintained as part of a structured audit strategy. Audit and assess construction activities related to IWNL water mains. When on customer site through diagnostics or observation ensure compliance to relevant legislation surrounding the activity. Ensure that all assets comply with the technical and regulatory standards as detailed by IWNL. Undertake water sampling following an outage, in accordance with DWTS UKAS 17025 standard. To attend meetings with site and construction personnel. To complete internal and external pressure and flow readings. Any other tasks required by line manager. Qualifications SHEA Water. CSCS or equivalent. Experience/Knowledge Experience working within the water industry. Experience in a customer facing role.
Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards and policies. Abilities/Skills Positive and proactive attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Desirable National water Hygiene. Confined spaces. Network/leakage qualification. Conditions of Employment You are required to have your criminal records checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is due to going into customers homes.You will be required to participate in a standby rota.You will hold a driving licence. What can you expect from us Cost of living annual pay review.
