Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is recruiting a Technical Sales Representative/Sales Engineer based in the UK. The role combines engineering knowledge with commercial responsibilities, servicing OEMs, distributors and end users across a wide range of industrial markets.

You will travel to customer sites and manage a growing portfolio from Coventry/ Wakefield bases. The position offers a basic salary of £35,000–£42,000 with an earnings bonus.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering background and technical aptitude.
• Experience in technical sales, applications engineering or engineering support.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand mechanical principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of customer accounts.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across your territory.
• Build strong relationships with OEMs, distributors and end users.
• Visit customers regularly, spending >60% of time in the field.
• Provide technical advice and application support with internal product specialists.
• Support engineering discussions around product opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal service teams to deliver solutions.
• Deliver against sales targets and business objectives.
