Job summary

SECOM Plc, a field-based service engineer role for Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, is seeking experienced technicians to maintain and fix security systems including intruder alarms, IP CCTV, and access control. You will ensure installations meet design specifications and client briefs, while upholding quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with intruder alarms, IP CCTV, and access control; has a full UK driving licence, and is comfortable working to deadlines.

Qualifications

• Includes proven experience servicing intruder alarms, IP CCTV and access control.
• You’ll be customer-focused, a strong communicator, computer literate, and comfortable working to deadlines.
• A full UK driving licence and knowledge of Pyronix is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage emergency callouts for security systems (intruder alarms, IP CCTV, access control, and VMS).
• Attend planned maintenance and reactive fault-finding visits; interpret drawings, order parts, and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Be part of the on-call rota and communicate with service teams; report all work electronically.

The role
