Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a Pump Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair wastewater systems across domestic, commercial and industrial sites from Stonehouse. The role is field-based, with a 45-hour week, day shifts, and overtime flexibility.

You will diagnose faults, perform mechanical and electrical repairs, and deliver high-quality customer service while managing schedules and safety on-site. A UK driving licence is essential and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in pump engineering or wastewater environments.
• Mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive attitude with attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and call-outs on sewage treatment plants, pumps and wastewater systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
• Liaise with customers on-site and provide updates on work undertaken.
• Work closely with scheduling team and line manager to ensure efficient job completion.
• Provide accurate reports and feedback after site visits.
• Manage van stock and ensure tools and parts are available.
• Use mobile technology to manage daily schedules and job information.
