Job summary

Global Fire and Security Systems is seeking a Field Based Service Engineer covering Edinburgh and surrounding postcodes. This full-time role offers hybrid work arrangements with on-site visits, door-to-door pay, and opportunities for overtime, on-call, and call-out duties.

Training provided and career development supported. Candidates should bring fire industry experience, FIA qualifications if possible, and relevant electrical safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing and maintaining electrical fire systems is preferred.
• Ideally FIA qualifications and City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of health and safety and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical service and maintenance across the Edinburgh area.
• Carry out planned maintenance in line with schedules and safety protocols.
• Repair and service fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems as required.
• Keep accurate service records and logs and report defects promptly.
