Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a qualified Electrician to work primarily in void properties in Norwich, performing EICRs, defect rectification, and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards. The role includes wiring new kitchen circuits, installing extraction fans, and supporting kitchen upgrades.

You will also provide support to responsive repairs and participate in the on‑call rota. Candidates should have AM2, 18th Edition, a clean UK licence, and social housing experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations including AM2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (if you have 17th edition you can work through your 18th edition).
• Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Previous domestic, social housing experience.
• Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395) preferable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs and rectify C1/C2 defects in void properties.
• Complete inspection and testing to ensure safety compliance.
• Wiring of kitchen circuits and installation/replacement of extraction fans.
• Support kitchen upgrade works and participate in emergency call‑out rota.
