Mears Group plc in Thurrock is seeking a skilled electrician for a full-time permanent role. You’ll perform maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems across domestic properties, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and resident comfort.

This hands-on, field-based position is 42.5 hours per week (8–5, Monday–Friday) with a salary up to £42,020.68 per annum, plus a company van and fuel card. Requires NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and related testing qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations with AM2.
• 18th Edition qualification required; 17th edition acceptable with progression to 18th edition.
• Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent) is required.
• Full UK driving licence with clean record is essential.

Responsabilités

• Perform reactive repairs to lighting, sockets, fuseboards and other electrical systems.
• Inspect and test electrical installations to ensure safety and compliance.
• Replace or repair faulty components such as switches, outlets and circuit breakers.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet daily repair targets.
• Communicate with tenants about repairs and expected outcomes.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow health and safety policies.
