Job summary

Mears Group PLC is seeking a qualified Electrician to work mainly in void properties performing EICRs, rectifying C1/C2 defects, and completing testing to ensure safety standards are met. You will wire new kitchen circuits and install extraction fans while supporting upgrade works.

Ideal candidates will have strong inspection/testing experience, the ability to work independently, and deliver compliant, high‑quality work with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations – AM2 required.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition required (17th edition acceptable if upgrading).
• Full UK driving licence with clean record.
• Previous domestic, social housing experience preferred.
• Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395) preferable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs in void properties and rectify C1/C2 defects.
• Complete testing and inspection to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Wiring of new kitchen circuits and installation/replacement of extraction fans.
• Support responsive repairs and participate in the emergency call‑out rota.

Education
