Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Electrical CNC Maintenance Engineer for a flexible field-based role covering the UK. The position offers a competitive salary of circa £60,000 OTE and tasks including installation and maintenance of CNC machines.

Ideal candidates will have strong fault-finding skills and proven experience with CNC controls. Responsibilities encompass troubleshooting, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience servicing and repairing CNC machine tools.
Strong electrical and electronic fault-finding skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Solid knowledge of servo systems, AC/DC drives, PLCs, and machine safety circuits.
Experience using electrical test equipment and OEM diagnostic tools.
Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

Install and commission CNC machine tools and automation equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and CNC control faults.
Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
Fault-find on CNC systems, servo drives, spindle drives, motors, and PLCs.
Support troubleshooting of CNC controls including Heidenhain, Siemens, and Fanuc.
Backup and restore CNC parameters and machine data.
Provide technical support and training to customers.
Complete service reports and documentation accurately and promptly.
