Job summary

Rapid Resource Limited is recruiting a Field Based Driver/Tradesperson to join an established team supporting ATM delivery and installation projects across the UK. Based in Rotherham with nationwide travel, the role involves driving, site prep, basic joinery and installation support.

You will work hands-on with hand and power tools, travel to customer sites, and help ensure projects are completed safely and on time.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Experience in construction, shopfitting, facilities or property maintenance or similar multi-trade role.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility for early starts, nationwide travel and occasional out-of-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to customer sites across the UK.
• Assist with ATM deliveries and installations.
• Prepare installation areas prior to ATM deployment.
• Carry out basic joinery, fitting, painting and multi-trade tasks.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and compliant with standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and installation teams to meet deadlines.

Field Based Driver/Tradesperson

Rapid Resource is recruiting a Driver / Multi‑Skilled Tradesperson to join an established team supporting ATM delivery and installation projects across the UK on behalf of NCR Atleos.

Location: Rotherham (with nationwide travel)
Rate: £150 per day
Contract: Rolling 3‑Month Contract

*Please note this role is offered on an ad‑hoc basis. Whilst we anticipate engineers will be kept busy during peak periods, we cannot guarantee 5 days of work per week*

About the Role

This is a hands‑on role that combines driving, site preparation, basic construction and installation support. We are looking for reliable individuals who are comfortable carrying out physical work, travelling nationwide, and using hand and power tools on a daily basis. Your base location will be NCR's Staging Warehouse in Rotherham, although the role will involve regular travel to customer sites throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Experience within construction, shopfitting, facilities maintenance, property maintenance or a similar multi‑skilled trade role
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Good practical skills and ability to work independently
• Strong work ethic and excellent timekeeping
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings, weekends and nights away

Desirable

• Joinery or shopfitting experience
• ECS/CSCS Card
• Experience using tablets for audits or proof of delivery

Training & Development

Full training will be provided, including:

• ECS Card support
• Manual Handling
• Asbestos Awareness

Working Hours

Applicants must be flexible, as early starts, nationwide travel and occasional out‑of‑hours working are an essential part of the role.

Physical Requirements

• Regular lifting and carrying of tools and equipment (up to 20kg)
• Frequent travel throughout the UK
• Standing, walking and working in varied site environments
• Bending, kneeling, climbing and working in confined spaces when required
