Job summary

Mick George Group is seeking a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor to oversee Ready Mixed Concrete and Screed production across sites, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency.

This field-based role runs Monday to Friday 7am-5pm with overtime and Saturday as required; responsibilities include plant operations, maintenance and customer service, with full training and clear progression opportunities offered by the company.

Qualifications

• Strong awareness of safety practices.

• Basic IT skills (e.g., email, data entry).
• Knowledge of concrete products.
• Understanding of industry and company operations.
• Awareness of distribution and logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with The Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Meet ISO 9001/14001/45001/6001 standards.
• Adhere to EN206 standards.
• Follow The Restrictive Trade Practices Act.
• Adhere to Anti-Discrimination Legislation.
• Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental awareness on site.
• Operate the batching plant to company standards using defined procedures.
• Maintain the site, plant, buildings, and equipment in a clean, safe, and secure condition.
• Ensure all required technical testing is completed accurately and on time.
• Handle customer enquiries and orders courteously, upholding the company’s professional image.
• Process and reconcile cash sale transactions in line with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate material and stock records, minimizing monthly discrepancies.
• Supervise staff and drivers to ensure maximum productivity while maintaining safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Ensure all site visitors and contractors sign in and comply with site procedures and legal obligations.
• Promptly report any known or suspected non-conformances to the appropriate department head.
