Job summary

Mech Electrics Limited is seeking a qualified Gas Engineer / Gas Technician to support a major facilities management contract across a network of pubs. This field-based role covers planned maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on commercial gas systems to ensure safety and reliability.

You will hold COCN1, Gas Safe registration and relevant commercial qualifications, travel between sites, and work with pub managers to maintain high service standards. Ongoing training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid COCN1 Core Commercial Natural Gas Safety certification.
• Current Gas Safe registration with commercial categories.
• Experience with commercial boilers and heating systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Professional, customer-focused approach and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, servicing and safety checks on commercial gas appliances.
• Diagnose faults and undertake reactive repairs.
• Complete gas safety inspections and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Liaise with pub managers, clients and contract management team.
• Complete service reports and maintenance records accurately.
• Work in accordance with health and safety procedures and SLAs.
