Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd seeks an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to cover Perth and surrounding North East Scotland. You will maintain commercial gas, combustion, heating and HVAC systems across multiple sites, with on-call duties and travel across the region.

Ideal candidates will have solid gas qualifications, Gas Safe registration and the ability to work independently in a facilities management environment. The role offers a competitive package and long-term government site work.

Qualifications

• Essential gas qualifications and registrations as listed.
• Experience with commercial gas systems and building services.
• Awareness of health and safety and compliance requirements.
• Routine and preventative maintenance experience.
• Installation and repair of gas and heating systems.
• Reactive maintenance and PPM experience.
• Experience in commercial buildings or FM environments.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Gas Safe Registered; IPAF and PASMA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on gas, heating and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs on commercial gas/heating equipment.
• Carry out routine servicing and inspections per legislation and client needs.
• Undertake new installations and major/minor repair works on gas/heating systems.
• Support general building services maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, fabric.
• Respond to out-of-hours callouts and manage on-call rota safely.
• Maintain accurate records of work and ensure activities comply with health and safety requirements.
• Travel between client sites across North East Scotland as required.
