Job summary

The AA is seeking a Commercial Training Manager to blend hands-on driver training with operational leadership in a field-based, UK-wide role. You will support trainer quality, delivery resilience and customer outcomes while recruiting, coaching and developing a dispersed trainer network.

Collaborating with Account Managers, Product, bookings and planning teams, you will drive CPD, deploy new training products and ensure professional standards across the AA group.

Qualifications

• DVSA Approved Driving Instructor status with classroom and in-vehicle training experience.
• Experience coaching and developing others with structured feedback.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing priorities.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills; data-informed decisions.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed contractor network.

Responsibilities

• Lead trainer selection, recruitment and induction with trainer support and bookings teams.
• Oversee Trainer Quality Monitoring and CPD to maintain high standards.
• Address quality concerns with guidance and improvements.
• Deliver commercial driver training, inductions, upskills and presentations.
• Collaborate with Product Team to embed training products for clients.
• Utilise feedback and MI to improve CPD and customer outcomes.
• Foster relationships across stakeholders and provide operational coverage.
