Job summary

GET Staff is seeking an Automatic Gate Engineer for a field-based role covering Manchester and surrounding areas. You will install, service and repair automated gates, barriers and access systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer communication at all times.

The ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence, have gate & barrier industry experience (3+ years preferred), be willing to train where needed, and possess knowledge of a range of manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to sites.
• Experience in the Gate & Barrier industry is preferred but not essential.
• Be prepared to train in areas required by the role.
• Familiar with a range of manufacturers and products.
• A positive, self-motivated attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair and maintain automated gates, barriers, bollards and access systems.
• Work field-based on-site across Manchester and surrounding areas.
• Operate across multiple manufacturer brands with quality control in mind.
• Communicate clearly with customers and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Provide support to team members and maintain high safety standards.
• Take responsibility for delivering quality workmanship on every job.
• Assist with on-site problem solving and fault finding.
