Job summary

GET Staff is seeking an Automatic Door Engineer in Manchester for a full-time, permanent role. The position offers £16–£21 per hour plus overtime, with Monday to Friday hours and coverage across Manchester and surrounding areas.

The role involves installation, service, repair, fault-finding and maintenance of automated doors across various brands, with a focus on quality and customer communication. Training opportunities and overtime are available.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required (essential).
• Experience in Automatic Door Industry (3+ years preferred).
• Willing to train in other disciplines.
• Knowledge of a range of manufacturers.
• Desirable qualifications include: IPAF, CSCS/ECS, ADSA/ ADIA BS EN16005 and/or City & Guilds.
• Positive attitude and self-motivation is a must.

Responsibilities

• Installation, Service, Repair, Fault-finding & Maintenance of Automated Doors
• Field-based role, covering a number of sites
• Working on a range of manufacturers
• Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered
• Carry out effective communication with customers at all times
• Ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Providing support to team members where required
